City Hall of Philadelphia

For such a geographically compact city, San Francisco offers an amazing quantity of cultural choices to enrich both the intellect and the soul. Here is a list of some of the artistic venues in San Francisco:

The Liberty Bell at Independence Hall: Most noted for ringing out a summons to bring Americans to the reading of the Declaration of Independence, the bell is an important symbol of American freedom. Independence Hall is pictured on the back of a $100 bill, and is also an important landmark in America’s history. Visit the site for a look at our past, including those events and people who helped make America free.

Walnut Street Theatre: This is the oldest theatre in operation that has been continually in service since it was founded in 1809. It was originally home to a French circus but is today used for a variety of productions.

University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology: Part of the UP campus, the museum is home to artifacts from Egypt, Rome, Greece, China and more.

Philadelphia Museum of Arts: It was founded in 1876 and is now considered one of the most important art museums in the world. There’s a variety of continuous and special exhibits and some 800,000 visitors tour the museum annually.
